The Testing: Academic and Industrial Workshop (TAIW)

Software testing is the perfect candidate among software engineering activities for the union of academic and industrial minds. The Testing: Academic and Industrial Workshop (TAIW) is a unique event that strives to combine the aspects of software testing workshop and industrial-academic gathering. TAIW brings together industrialists and academics in an environment that promotes meaningful collaboration on the challenges of software testing.

TAIW is sponsored by representatives from both industry and academia. The workshop brings together software developers, end users, and academic candidates who work on both the theory and practice of software testing. TAIW is an ongoing series of low-cost workshop for experienced software testers, new comers and pertained professionals. TAIW strives to build skills in software testing and allows people who are interested in software testing to network with their peers. The emphasis is on mutual learning, sharing hands-on experiences and solving practical problems.

In these meetings, experienced working practitioners discuss pertinent state-of-the-art topics. TAIW has been organized by a small team of local practitioners in the contend of software testing.

Our workshop focuses on each topic in software testing from basic to advance. We will try to select a topic that is narrow enough in scope that we can reasonably cover it in the limited amount of time we have and also need to be discussed. We strive to give every serious inquirer a fair chance to attend our workshops and we encourage newcomers who have a passion for the field to attend.

Workshop Benefit

The workshop is aimed at people who have achieved an advanced point in their careers in software testing. This includes people in roles such as testers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers and software developers. This advanced level qualification is also appropriate for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of software testing, such as project managers, quality managers, software development managers, business analysts, IT directors and management consultants.
